Marine Toad

Found natively in South America these large toads can now be found in Florida, Hawaii and Australia! They are considered an invasive species around the world and were originally introduced to Australia as a means to control the Cane Beetle, which was devastating the sugar cane crop. However the Cane Beetle lives at the top of the stalk of the sugar cane, which is 6 feet high much higher than the toads would be able to reach. Nonetheless the toads flourished and devoured everything else in their path. Due to their impressive size they are also kept as exotic pets throughout the United States.
