White’s Tree Frog

This frog was donated in the fall along with several other cold-blooded friends because the individual was going off to college the following month. He was named not for their color but after their discoverer John White. The White’s Tree Frog secretes a sticky substance that it coats all over their body to make a cocoon during drier months so they don’t dry out. Since they are adapted to blend into their environment it takes a keen eye to spot him in his enclosure.
