American Toad

Joey Jr. is the Center’s resident American Toad. American Toads are the largest toad in Connecticut and reach approximately 3 1/2 inches in length and are quite round. They are very common and can often be seen catching bugs in your garden on warm summer nights. In Spring listen for their trills from wet meadows and marshy areas.
