Aaron the Black Rat Snake

Aaron

Black Rat Snake

Aaron was rescued in the summer of 2014 after getting himself tangled in some garden mesh. When found he was severely dehydrated and had garden mesh cutting into the scales on the upper portion of his body which was also wrapped quite tightly around the inside of his mouth as well. This resulted in the loss of a majority of the scales on the upper portion of his body.

After a year of rehabilitation he began to regrow many of the lost scales. Unfortunately there are still portions of his body that are still distorted and missing scales so at this juncture he is not fit to be released back into the wild. The Wildlife Center will remain his home.
