Rabbit

Smokey is a domestic rabbit who came to the Wildlife Sanctuary at the age of 1 in October of 2018.  He was adopted from the House Rabbit Connection  into a loving home where he was cared for quite well, but unfortunately several family members became allergic. Before considering any animal as a pet it is  important to get tested to ensure no one in your family is allergic.

Cocoa was brought to the Wildlife Sanctuary in December 2017.  A local family saw a rabbit hopping around in the garden while walking through Hartford’s Elizabeth Park.  To their surprise, the rabbit approached them and they were able to pick it up.  It is likely that Cocoa was an unwanted pet that was dropped off in the park.
